Han Zhang
Nine years of construction-drawing production in China, now rebuilding that discipline around Canadian coordinate systems, municipal standards and CAD conventions from Alberta.
Background
Entered the landscape industry in 2017 as a site-based drafter, following construction crews and learning firsthand where a drawing stops matching what actually gets built. That gap became the focus: translating a designer's intent into drawings a construction crew can build from, a material supplier can quote from, and a site inspector can check — production drafting, not concept design. Over the following years this covered residential, community, hotel and waterfront landscape projects across several cities in China (see Early work below).
Since relocating to Alberta, that same drafting discipline is being rebuilt around Canadian data: NAD83(CSRS) coordinate systems, City of Calgary standards, and open geospatial tooling (QGIS, PDAL/GDAL, Python). The Projects page is the result — each one built and QA'd end to end, not just claimed.

High-end residential landscape in an arid, high-diurnal-swing climate — adapted a lush concept design to gravel/xeric groundcover, a recirculating water feature, and locally sourced granite paving detailed for freeze-thaw cycles.
Chuanyi Central Park
Large community park serving a residential development — construction drawings for the main activity zones, coordinating multiple disciplines and phased-construction handoffs.
Tianfu Agricultural Expo Hotel
Outdoor public realm for a boutique hotel — brought an interior level of finish outdoors, detailing a reflecting pool, weathering-steel feature walls and a rooftop planted terrace.
Luzhou Youpin Avenue Show Suite
Sales show-suite landscape on an approximately three-month schedule — sequenced drawing issue to keep pace with construction and simplified detailing to hit the deadline without losing design intent.
Zhongsheng Leshan Yuanshan
Hillside residential site with significant grade change — full construction drawing set built around a terrace and retaining-wall system, with a complete vertical-control model tying terraces to building datums.
Jingrong Lakeside Bay
Lakefront residential landscape — construction drawings for timber boardwalks, viewing platforms and shoreline treatment, balancing waterfront safety requirements with open sightlines to the water.
